As you might know, the Ginge and I have been working on our house for the past few months. It is still very much a work-in-progress, but we're getting there (slowly). The bathroom has been the biggest job so far; taking two weeks instead of the quoted two days. I guess that's what comes of living in an old house with brittle plaster, wonky floors and complicated plumbing. It all turned out beautifully in the end and is now a lovely haven in which to relax and imagine how wonderful the rest of the house will look, once it's finished. We've got pretty varied taste and a tiny house, so all of the rooms are a bit of a mismatch of different periods and styles, but it works for us. Anyway, here are a few pictures of our living room, kitchen, bathroom and my study. I hope to be able to show you more soon, but you can check out other bits and bobs here. In other news, I find out tomorrow whether I passed my big exams, so we are keeping our fingers and toes crossed for good news so that we can celebrate. I hope you are all having a lovely week, in spite of the miserable weather.
I love it!

ReplyDeleteThank you, gorgeous girl. It was completely worth the wait, as were my results. Thrilled! Xxx
DeleteHow I envy people who are able to post photos of their houses. Mine's never tidy enough for public consumption.
ReplyDeleteI'll be completely honest and say that our house isn't always this tidy. It goes in waves - these pictures just happened to be taken on a good day. Xx
DeleteYour bathroom is looking beautiful; your shower curtain fits the space so well! I don't know if it's just me but I love playing stylist and shifting the contents of our house around when the mood takes :-) Your photos are gorgeous
ReplyDeleteJem xXx
Thank you, lovely! I am particularly in love with the shower curtain and feeling very smug as my boy wasn't sure of it to start with, but loves it now it's up. I love playing stylist and wish I had more time and money to do the rest of the house. Still, good things are worth waiting for, aren't they? Xx
DeleteWhat a delightful treat of photographs, I keep spying lovelies, the shower curtain, ballet shoes, lush red sewing machine, treacle pencil pot, umbrella urn and framed embroidery! Fingers crossed re: exam results.

I am so pleased that you found and enjoyed my blog and what a lovely way to say hello! Until recently, I was using a Panasonic Lumix FZ18, but I have just upgraded to a Canon 60D with a 17-85 lens. Hope that helps. Love Naomi. Xxx
